Last Full Day in Chengdu

We did some shopping today, and found some nice souvenirs.

We didn't get to finish up our paperwork at Civil Affairs - something about the person in charge of the stamp being away on business or some such, and apparently no-one else can do it. Governments are the same all over, I guess.

That means tomorrow will be a busy day. We've got to go get that paperwork taken care of in the morning, then we check out and fly to Guangzhou late afternoon. We'll meet up with Shiyan in Guangzhou on Friday and get started on everything we've got to do there.

Next post will probably be from the White Swan!

  1. glad everything is going so well. is really good Jasper and Austin are becoming buddies. We are all anxious for you to get home. I went shopping and was going to get Austin a birthday present but couldn't decide what to buy. Guess I will have to get some ideas.

  2. Hi, Grandma! :)

He's not really as interested in cars as was suggested. He likes puzzles and books, but they'd both need to be the sturdy kind - a regular paper book would probably get shredded in no time.

Or maybe building blocks or lincoln logs or something like that...

He seems pretty smart - we got a small wooden tangram puzzle and it didn't take him long at all to learn how to put it back together.
